Tilly Ramsay has admitted that she is “focused on dancing” amid rumours that the ‘Strictly curse’ is about to strike again.
The 19 year old daughter of TV chef Gordon Ramsay has confirmed that she is single while she is paired with new Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, Nikita Kuzmin.
But their instant bond on the dance floor has led to many speculating about the nature of their relationship, with rumours of the infamous Strictly curse now rife, which speculates that the dance pairings are going beyond being just a couple for the purpose of the show.
Tilly and Nikita, 23, stormed to the top of the Strictly leaderboard at the weekend with their energetic Charleston and despite Nikita being in a relationship, the couple cannot shake off the ‘curse’ rumours.
Speaking to new!, Tilly has now opened up about her relationship status.
She told us: “Yes, I am single but I’m here to focus on dancing.
“I’d have been crazy to say no to Strictly Come Dancing. It really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and most importantly I really want to learn to dance.”
Nikita’s girlfriend of five years, Nicole Wirt, has recently posted a cryptic message on Instagram, after she liked a post about Tilly’s training with Nikita before changing her mind and removing her support for it.
Nicole had posted a split screen image in which it showed a single person on one side, with the caption “The Support”.
Next to this was a photo of a massive crowd of people, which she added the caption: “The Congratulations”.
Nicole then wrote over the pics with “Don’t be fooled” along with an emoji of a person with their finger over their mouth.
Sharing a photo of the pair’s week one Waltz, Nicole added love heart emojis and wrote “cheering on my favs”, before adding that their performance was “mesmerising”.
Tilly’s famous chef dad Gordon, 54, has also had his say on Nikita, telling his daughter’s dance partner to “do his shirt up” in an hilarious clip on Instagram.
The TV chef said that he was “so proud” of his daughter on Strictly, after he took part in a number of dances with her on TikTok during the coronavirus lockdown.
The dad-of-five wrote: “Wishing these two the very best of luck ahead of tonight’s LIVE dance @tillyramsay @nikita__kuzmin @bbcstrictly. So proud of you Tills, love you from your dance coach extraordinaire Dad.”
