Jesy Nelson has confessed her love life “isn’t healthy” because she’s a sucker for bad boys.
The former Little Mix singer, 30, was discussing her upcoming debut single Boyz when she revealed she can’t stay away from a troublemaker.
Jesy also said she penned the track following a break-up, and described the song as “in your face.”
“I wrote it when I was going through a break-up and it’s me all over. I just love a bad boy. I say it to people all the time… it’s not healthy!” she said during an interview for the latest issue of Noctis magazine.
The singer didn’t reveal when she wrote the track or who she wrote it about.
She most recently dated actor Sean Sagar for nine months, but they split earlier this year.
She was previously in a relationship with Love Island star Chris Hughes for 16 months until they broke up in April last year.
However, she’s recently rekindled her romance with her musician ex-boyfriend Harry James.
The loved-up couple were spotted on a luxury holiday in Antigua, sparking rumours the couple had reunited more than three years after they originally split.
They then jetted off to Los Angeles, where Harry was rumoured to be working with Jesy in the studio on her new solo music, and the duo were seen looking loved-up while out and about in the sun-soaked city.
They were together for more than 16 months after meeting in 2017, and even shared the singer’s Pomeranian, Reggie, together.
But Jesy’s busy schedule with Little Mix reportedly put pressure on the relationship, and the pair called it quits.
The reunion has surprised fans, as Jesy stated in an interview with the Guardian last month that she was done with romance and wanted to stay single as she focused on her blossoming solo career.
“I like waking up and knowing this day is just for me and I don’t need to worry about anyone but me. I’m really not looking for a relationship any more,” she stated.
Elsewhere in the chat with Noctis magazine, Jesy confessed she’s worried that her debut single Boyz will divide fans.
“You’re either going to love it or you’re going hate it and I would rather that than people be like, ‘meh’,” she shared.
The track, featuring Nicki Minaj, was due to be released already, but has reportedly been delayed to feature P Diddy, as it samples the rapper’s 2001 single Bad Boy 4 Life.
