Francis Assan, a brilliant young student who got 7As and 1 B in social studies after his WASSCE exams, had his admission rejected by the University of Ghana (UG) Law School.

Francis who wanted to study Law had his dream dashed by the University Of Ghana Law School. But Francis, didn’t let that stop him as he went on to pursuing a degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) where he graduated with flying colors. He graduated with a First Class Honours, clinging a 3.58 out of total 4.00CGPA. His brilliance also landed him a Ghana Scholarship secretariat, which he used to pursue the degree.

Sharing the story on LinkedIn, Dickson Assan, the brother to the Brilliant boy said till today he still wonders why the University will reject his brother for just one ‘B’. “As to why University of Ghana refused my younger brother, Francis Assan  admission to read law still baffles me to date. To them, the B2 in social studies is a blot.   “Well, he went to University of Professional Studies Accra where he studied accounting and finance. Again, he is graduating with flying colours,” his post reads in part. He further called on employers on LinkedIn to grab his brother because he has couched him very well. “This post is to celebrate him and tell employers he is ready to explode. I have coached him well and he is ready.
