10-year-old doesn’t let snow or ice snap his daily surfing streak

It was a snowy day for Carter Douri’s school district in New Jersey. But snow and ice did not keep a 10-year-old child away from his daily surfing routine. Doury began surfing daily when New Jersey was first blocked at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Even now, more than 590 days later, he continues to win in a row. “I have nothing else to do, so why not continue?” He told News 12 New Jersey. “It’s fun. And I got all these great things from doing it, so I’m going to keep it going.” His first goal was a 100-day surf streak. Then he moved it to a year. Now he hit it for 1,000 days. Dooley’s parents help with transportation and motivation. “Me and Carter’s dad, we are very happy because he found his stuff, and the sea was always his stuff to calm him down, and that he was there I am very happy, and we are happy to help him. Everyday passion. ” Douri used the attention received on social media and local news coverage to help others. He collected food for soup kitchens and money for the rescue of animals in the community.
